Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use www.verasoft.com, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technology. We aim for the site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, speech and cognitive disabilities.

What we have done

  • Built pages with a clear heading structure and labeled page regions.
  • Given meaningful images text alternatives, and hidden purely decorative images from screen readers.
  • Made our menus open with the keyboard as well as the mouse, added a “Skip to main content” link before them and shown a clear outline on whatever has keyboard focus.
  • Labeled every form field, marked which fields are required and described errors in text next to the field.
  • Turned off background video and other non-essential motion when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Designed layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and desktop screens without loss of content.

How we check the site

As part of our release work, we check every page at phone, tablet and desktop widths and with reduced motion turned on. We also check that images load with accurate text alternatives and that links work.

Known limitations

We have not yet completed a full review of the site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, so some content may not yet fully meet it. In particular:

  • Third-party content. Features provided by others, such as the Cloudflare security check that may appear on our forms, and websites we link to, are outside our direct control and may not fully meet our standard.
  • Documents. Some documents, such as PDFs we share and files people upload to us, may not be fully accessible. We will provide the information in our documents in another format on request.

We fix issues as we find them, and we welcome your help in finding them.

Feedback and alternative formats

If you have difficulty using any part of the site, need information in a different format or want to tell us about a barrier, please send us a message and choose “Something else.” You can also call us at +1 248 412-4000.

Please tell us the web address of the page and the problem you found. If part of the site is not accessible to you, we will work with you to provide the information or service you need another way.

Legal framework

We provide this site in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other US laws that promote accessibility. For visitors in the European Union, we also take account of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the national laws implementing it, where they apply to our services. Our target of WCAG 2.2 Level AA includes the WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria that these laws and related standards commonly refer to.
