Verasoft builds software that helps businesses manage one-time and recurring billing. We’re looking for senior database developers to design, build and maintain the multi-tenant AWS Aurora database infrastructure behind our SaaS billing platform.

You’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams to make sure the database architecture meets the platform’s scalability, performance and security requirements.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement a scalable, efficient multi-tenant database architecture on AWS Aurora.
• Develop and maintain schemas, tables, indexes and views that optimize performance and protect data integrity.
• Implement data partitioning and isolation strategies that support multi-tenancy while keeping each tenant’s data secure and private.
• Optimize queries and transactions for fast response times and efficient use of resources.
• Monitor database performance proactively, and find and resolve bottlenecks.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies that keep data available and intact.
• Work with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into database designs and optimizations.
• Keep up with the latest database and cloud technologies and best practices, and use them to improve our infrastructure.

What you’ll bring

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of database development experience, focused on MySQL and AWS Aurora.
• Expertise in designing and implementing multi-tenant database architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL query optimization, indexing and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Aurora, RDS and S3.
• A strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with close attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Database – Specialty certification.
• Experience with other relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
• Experience with containers, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
